Let’s pop the Whine out

Published by at 9:14 pm under Canon Law,Sacraments

Well, that title may be the result of the comments from this news out of Spain. A woman is demanding gluten-free hosts for her daughter’s first communion. The child has celiac syndrome and cannot ingest (or is it digest?) gluten. Canon law is clear that the hosts are to be made of wheat, and so the problem arises. It seems the diocese and the parents have forgotten or never heard of this apostolate in Kansas.
